4 hours beyond the confines of our Cape Town city limits lies a dry & barren landscape littered with shale rock and koppies called the Tankwa Karoo. It’s a nirvana for adventure seekers and home to the now famous Africa Burn and it lures adventure riders to explore its wondrous tracks that snake their way towards endless horizons. Those that have spent time here in days gone by, are haunted by its allure and yearn to return to breath its fresh air and star filled nights.
It’s here that the Tankwa XC Rally calls home and it’s these very tracks and a multitude more that the racers of this iconic even will get to experience when they line up on the start line of this 3 day event on the 21st September. Now in its 4th year, this race continues to attract riders from all over South Africa to experience it’s incredible riding terrain, amazing pit camp vibe and true farm life food & hospitality.
All you need is a lust for adventure, a reliable dirt bike, a GPS and or Road Book holder and a racing license and you can be part of it in 2018.
