After X-rays, sonars and eventually a MRI scan its time for a shoulder op. Should have been done about 4 years ago but we tried other routes first. But the inevitable is now upon him. With modern techniques its not a major procedure as such but the rehab is key.

Bull you hit the nail on the head, rehab is key make him do the exercises and then put him in a swimming pool for the next few months and that shoulder will be solid again...

And it was like the 4th time I had fallen. I was poked. The two falls before that had me gassed from trying to get my bike unstuck and out again. Plus a fairly decent fall.

Ive entered the upcoming one, it seems like a good day out. Can anyone shed some light on the format of racing? I see last event had 3 finals, is it a knockout type of thing? Do you race each final or do you only race 1 of the 3 finals?

You will definitely race 2. So technically finals=heats. The 3rd "final" is a final with normally only the top 10 or so riders in Each class going through

You will also have a free (non timed) practice as well as a timed practice. It's great fun and awesome for spectators too. Drag the whole family out. I always do...

Ditto that!! I battled last time out. Its very very tough becasue of the pace it runs at. the good part is that a heat is very short - only 2 - 3 laps. Each heat gets better and better as you learn the track and obstacles.

Popped into BW yesterday and saw Brian Capper training hard. Just made me want to get out there and ride.
