    Magneto!!

    Morning

    Its been a month now that my bike won't start(no spark) replaced the spark plug,cleaned the electric connections etc. So my question is what is the chances of a magneto failure, i am really gatvol and need some help?????

    You actually need to trace the problem, guessing won't help

    could be a faulty kill switch which is where I would start looking

    SC i have disconnected the kill switch and test everything according to the service manual with a multi meter

    bud i feel your pain, i struggled for 8 months to trace the same issue on my KTM350. even after 4 trips to different dealerships to "simply bring it in and we will plug it in for you". still no joy.

    I changed the coil, stator, plug, bogey cable, rectifier, battery, kill switch, all the fuses, full wiring harness, just to find that under the tail piece (on the right hand side) are 2 contactors. they feed power to the ignition from the battery. one of them had stuck in the normally closed position. there are 2 identical ones on the side of the battery. i changed the 2 from the back to the front and i had spark, and start but no speedo all of a sudden, that`s when I decided to change all 4 and that solved my issue at the end of the day.

    not saying its the same as on your bike, but is is something i would look at
