I have zero knowledge when it comes to camping equipment.

Which would be ideal tent to buy?(I am not light skinned so I am afraid of cold)
Which is best site to grab second hand gear? Dont mind buying new if price not crazy.

Out of interest is there any camping tent which can be used with load bin of bakkie:33: I am scared of spiders!:)

Need it for Roof.

For how many people? Price range?

Cape Union Mart has great tents for a reasonable price... If you want cheaper then go to Sportsmans

Here are some good options for tents... For two people you want a minimum 3 person tent and ideally a 4 person tent.

https://www.capeunionmart.co.za/k-way-panorama-3-person-tent

Natural Instincts Highveld 4 Tent (http://www.sportsmanswarehouse.co.za/product/natural-instincts-highveld-4-tent/4435)

Natural Instincts Weekend Warrior 3 Person Tent (http://www.sportsmanswarehouse.co.za/product/natural-instincts-weekend-warrior-2-person-tent/4435)

Oh and if you are worried about quality get K-Way... Their quality is really good these days, but if you want something you will use once or twice a year then get something cheaper :thumbs up:

This is what I've got. Lekker front storage bit, reasonable quality vs price.

This is a very good option. You want a separate section for smelly kit and fuel Ect.

Tentco for the win...250gp's tent takes a hour to erect and if there is booze involved it doesn't even get unloaded!

Bought the same one off takealot, used at IMPI and a few events, its light weight material so doesn't like big winds, but not many tents are strong...

Get something that's rain proof. Waking up feeling wet for all the wrong reasons is not fun.
